Business backs Sam’s op bid
The Melting House in Mirfield is just one of the local businesses helping Sam Bottomley’s family raise £35,000 for a life changing operation.
Owner Sue Ibberson is donating all the money taken through sales of her chocolate lollies for children this month.

“Whatever I get from sales of the £1 children’s lollies will go to Sam. I think I’ve made about £100 already.”
The shop in Huddersfield Road also has a collection tin and appeal wristbands for sale.
Money raised by the appeal will fund an operation and intensive physiotherapy which could eventually allow six-year-old Sam, of Calder Road, Lower Hopton, to walk independently.
