Choir, brass band and Santa to help light up village this weekend
The village will be hosting a fun-packed day on Sunday December 6 at its annual Christmas fair and switch on.
Fund raising by the Birkenshaw Village Association has gone well this year and are hoping to make the Christmas Lights event better even than last year’s.

“There will also be stalls in the scout marquee on the lawn outside the church, so if you’re stuck for a present or just in the mood for shopping please come and have a look at what will be on offer.
“Please come out and support us.”
Food and drink will be available and there will also be entertainment on offer.
Father Christmas will be flying his sleigh into the community hall just after 2pm and the outdoor stage will feature Birkenshaw First School Choir, Drighlington Brass Band and festive Christmas tunes.
