Countdown on to Morley Beer Festival
Three days of live music, food, entertainment - and, of course, beer - have been planned for today, Saturday and Sunday and organisers are determined to make it not just a massive success, but the first of many.
The Scatcherd Lane club will see its ‘real ale’ bar set up in the pool room of the Willows function room.

An impressive variety of real ales and fruity ciders will be on sale over the weekend and all of them will have been brewed within 35 miles of Morley.
Simon Barraclough, from the cricket club, said they wanted to thank all the sponsors who had supported the event, either by putting their name on a barrel or advertising in the programme, as well as Dewsbury-based Partners Brewery.
“Partners have worked with us to ensure that the dream of holding a beer festival has now become a reality,” he said.

etc.
“There appears to be genuine interest in the festival and we just hope for good weather next weekend and hope that everyone joins in the fun and encourages family and friends to attend at some stage during the weekend.”
Entry to the festival is £3, which includes a weekend pass, festival programme and a commemorative pint glass, which has been sponsored by Partners Brewery, Onwards & Upwards estate agents and Fenton’s Packaging.
Festival goers can buy beer tokens which can be bought and used at any point during the weekend.
