Rams sign Briggs on loan after Godwin injury blow
The Rams captain broke an arm in last Sunday’s 36-24 defeat at high-flying Featherstone and is likely to miss the rest of the season.
With loose forward Aaron Brown and winger Greg Scott already ruled out for the campaign, Godwin’s injury comes as another massive blow to Glenn Morrison’s side.

“Wayne is awaiting an operation but he won’t be sitting at home, he will still be involved and be part of the set up and will assist on the coaching side. He can still use his leadership qualities.”
Rob Spicer is nearing a comeback but has not yet tested his rib injury with physical contact training, so the Rams have four key players sidelined.
Morrison has signed Briggs on a one-month loan from Feartherstone and he comes into immediate contention to play in Sunday’s Kingstone Press Championship game against champions Sheffield Eagles.

Dewsbury face back-to-back home games, with Doncaster visiting Tetley’s Stadium on June 29 and Morrison is eager for his side to capitalise.
He added: “It’s an important fortnight for us and if we can win them both it puts us right up there at the top end of the table. “
Dewsbury currently lie fifth, two points above Sheffield and two behind Halifax.
